Hello and Guten Tag
I would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.
I love film. I could easily spend all day in bed or on the sofa just watching films, providing I had a large supply of chocolate and snacks to keep me going. My favourite of all time and one that I can watch over and over again has to be The Rocky Horror Picture Show and last night me and 3 of my friends (I'm amazed I even have 3 friends) took a little trip to Bournemouth to see the Rocky Horror show at the Bournemouth Pavilion and my gosh. It was pure magic. Best of all we were in the front row!
For those of you who haven't seen the film or the stage show (shame on you) the film summed up in one sentence. Brad and Janet break down in the rain and seek help in a nearby castle where they encounter a group of tranvestite aliens, one of which has just built a man. It's amazing, trust me.
As expected with this type of show its a requirement for the audience to dress up, those who don't are considered boring and not worthy. However I was happy to see that men weren't afraid to whack on a corset and some suspenders. I love a man in drag.
This is me, dressed as one of the Transylvanian's
Not to be cliche, but the show literally started with a bang and I shat myself and nearly jumped onto my friends lap. If I wasn't already paying attention I was now. Right from the go I was hooked and couldn't take my eyes of the stage, I was mesmerised. I loved that I knew all the words and was able to sing along, then when the Time Warp came on everyone stood up and was dancing, the atmosphere was fantastic, and all the actors were brilliant and everyone one of them made me laugh at one point during the show. However it was interesting to see Dani Harmer (Who played Janet and is best known as Tracey Beaker, who I grew up watching as a kid) fake an orgasm on stage. I also can't not mention Rocky, nothing beats a glitter covered man, wearing nothing but but leopard print underwear with a well sculpted body dancing around on stage. Yum.
When it finally came to an end I was buzzing but at the same time gutted that it was over. I will be seeing this show again! I would throughly recommend it to anyone, especially those who love the film but haven't yet seen it on stage.
Then just to top the whole night off I helped a drunk lady make a paper hat on the train ride home. I considered that my good deed of the day.

| The poster outside the theatre. I had to use all the power I had not to try and steal it. |
